Cookie Policy
Advanced MSK Ultrasound Center LLC, d/b/a Advanced Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Center (AMSKU)
This Cookie Policy explains how Advanced MSK Ultrasound Center LLC (“AMSKU,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on the member portal located at https://residents.amsku.com (the “Portal”). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your computer or mobile device when you visit. They let the site remember you between pages and visits. Similar technologies include browser storage (such as “local storage”), which works in much the same way but is not sent to our server with every request.
Cookies We Set Ourselves
The Portal is deliberately light on cookies. We set only one first-party cookie, and it is strictly necessary for the Portal to work:
| Name | Purpose | Type | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
amsku_session | Keeps you logged in after you enter the sign-in code we email you. Without it, every page would ask you to log in again. | Strictly necessary | 30 days, or when you log out |
This cookie is marked HttpOnly (scripts in the browser cannot read it), Secure (sent only over HTTPS), and SameSite (not sent with requests that start on other websites). It contains a random session token only; it does not contain your name, email address, or any other personal information.
Browser Storage We Use
When you take a quiz, your in-progress answers are saved in your browser's local storage so you can leave the page and pick up where you left off. This data stays on your device, is never sent to us except when you submit the quiz, and is cleared when the quiz is submitted or when you clear your browser data.
Cookies From Other Companies
We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics on the Portal. However, some pages embed content or tools from other companies, and those companies may set their own cookies when the embedded content loads. We do not control these cookies. They are governed by each provider's own cookie and privacy policies, which we encourage you to read.
- Stripe – processes membership payments. When you check out or manage your billing, you are taken to pages hosted by Stripe, which sets cookies for payment security and fraud prevention.
- Vimeo and YouTube – host the course videos, lesson recordings, and webinar archives played inside the Portal.
- Calendly – powers the scheduling pages used to book strategy calls, virtual trainings, and meetings.
- Zoho – provides the support and payment-update forms, the resident document folders, and the recorded meetings embedded in the Residency hub.
- Google Fonts – serves the typefaces used on the Portal. Loading a font sends your browser's request to Google's servers.
Managing Cookies
Because our only first-party cookie is required to keep you signed in, we do not show a cookie consent banner. You can still control cookies through your browser:
- Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. If you block the
amsku_sessioncookie, you will not be able to stay logged in to the Portal. - Logging out deletes your session cookie immediately.
- Clearing your browser's site data removes any saved quiz progress.
- To limit cookies from embedded content, you can block third-party cookies in your browser. Some embedded videos, forms, or schedulers may not work when third-party cookies are blocked.
For step-by-step instructions, see the help pages for your browser (for example Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Microsoft Edge).
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, for example when we add or remove a tool that sets cookies. The date of the latest version is shown below. Your continued use of the Portal after a change means you accept the updated policy.
